Thick, cosy jumpers and coats are necessary to prevent hypothermia in the bitter weather, but they can end up drowning your figure, resulting in a frumpy look. When I wear chunky knits, I like to balance things out on my bottom half, by sporting tights, skinny jeans or leggings. Why is my face so serious?!
To contrast with the woolen jumper, I pulled out some wet-look leggings from the back of my wardrobe, which I don't wear all that often. Faux leather leggings can look a bit tacky, but they're a cheaper alternative to the real thing and they're super comfortable. Ensuring your booty is sufficiently covered and they aren't clinging in all the wrong places, they can make an outfit a little more interesting. I fell head over heels for this patterned, French Connection jumper as soon as I saw it in the store. Not only is it warm, but it can transform a plain, otherwise boring outfit.
