Autumn is well and truly here and it's time to whip out those boots, tights and knitwear again! Hurrah! Nothing makes me happier than layering up, mixing together differing materials and textures. Finding outfits to wear during that awkward, transitional period can be tough, especially with the recent, unseasonably warm weather putting a spanner in the works.
My heart wants to start piling on the darker colours and thicker clothing, but my head tells me I'll end up feeling hot and bothered. To ease me in, I've started layering sheerer materials, such as this slouchy, three-quarter sleeved tee and one of my beloved, All Saints pirate, cropped cardigans. All Saints is my go-to shop to stock up on knitwear, as there's always a bajillion pieces I want and the laid-back style is right up my street. Black tights and boots, paired with shorts or skirts, is a staple look of mine during A/W, so I'm excited to be sporting my new, buckled beauties that I picked up from Topshop. My printed skirt is one I picked up from Firetrap a couple of years ago, before the brand started to go downhill. But, after finding it at the back of my wardrobe during a clear-out and loving the distressed look of it, I thought I'd dust it off and wear it again.
