In January, the weather is miserable and we're in this weird limbo between the festive period and the start of spring/summer, so we all need a little pick-me-up. To brighten my mood and make myself feel a bit less like there's nothing to look forward to, I thought I'd do some online shopping. Here's what I'm currently eyeing-up!

I'm going to be that girl. The girl who has to lust after the belt that everyone and their mother has been coveting for the last six months. The Gucci Belt. I can't help it. This baby has been sold out in certain sizes foreverrrrr, but that only drives up the demand even further! Why is it that you always want what you can't have? Although it may be the 'it' item of the moment, a belt is such a classic item and will last a lifetime. Even though it's a designer piece, it won't be a wasteful purchase.

The Ted Baker Geo Lace Bomber Jacket may not be quite warm enough for the current climate, but I'm thinking ahead with this one. It's the most gorgeous jacket I've seen in a while and it'll be perfect for spring. Day to day, I like to look pretty and polished, but I'm more of a jeans and tee girl. A detailed bomber jacket like this one, helps to add a feminine touch to my outfits and makes them a bit more interesting.

One of my New Year's resolutions was to accessorize more and add little details to my outfits, with jewellery. I'm not one for really bold pieces, so this simple Topshop Pearl Clean Bangle is just what I'm looking for. I'm loving pearls at the moment and have a pair of stud earrings, so this bracelet will match them well. I love that the bangle is gold over silver, too, as it suits my skin-tone better.

I've got a couple of weddings coming up soon, one in February and one in the midst of spring. Of course, I've been scouting out some dresses for the special occasions. I recently came across Quiz Clothing, which was a total blast from the past. I remember loving their clothes when I was younger and had no idea that they had such a gorgeous collection of dresses for such an affordable price. Being totally predictable, I fell in love with this navy and pink Floral Applique Dress. Florals for spring - groundbreaking! I also love this Bardot Dip Hem Mesh Dress, which I think looks so demure and chic in the nude and black colour-way. I know black isn't a traditional colour for a wedding and I usually steer clear of such dark dresses, but I think it's wedding-appropriate whilst we're still technically in winter.

Bell sleeves are all the rage, at the moment. I'm not one for following every trend that trickles down from the catwalks in to the shops, but this one I can get on board with. I love how chic and flattering the style is and the Boohoo Funnel Neck Wide Sleeve Jumper is my favourite piece of those I've seen so far.

It's a fact - wearing fancy new activewear whilst working out helps you perform to your maximum potential in the gym! I'm not going to lie, my motivation is starting to wane slightly now that the enthusiasm of New Year is fading. What can remedy this? Some swanky leggings and the matching top. The best brand for gorgeous and high-quality designs, is Varley. Their Barry Nightstalker Leggings and Bandini Nightstalker Bra are so swoon-worthy. I know their pieces are verging on extortionate, but I always find that more expensive workout clothes last for much longer.

Boots are an appropriate choice of footwear all year round when you live in the UK! They're definitely my most-worn type of shoe, whether paired with jeans and tights in winter, or dresses and skirts in summer. Buckled boots have been another huge trend over the past few months, but so many designs are too busy and bold for my taste. The All Saints Lulu Suede Boots are much simpler, with the three straps and plain grey suede. They have a heel, but it's small enough that the boots should be comfortable to wear all day.

I'm a total wimp when it comes to the cold, so I always need to wrap up warm. Clearly, I'm still not over the whole duster coat thing, as I fell in love with this Missguided Oversized Waterfall Duster Coat. The lighter camel colour and thinner material is a nice change from the thick, fur-lined (faux) coats I've been wearing lately. It'll make a nice transitional piece between now and springtime, too.

    1. It's so popular, at the moment, as is everything from Gucci! To be fair, a belt will last forever if you look after it, so it can be a great investment piece x
