Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm Review
21:33Alice GraceDry, frizzy hair is never a good look. During the summer, the mixture of strong sunshine, high humidity and salty seas can wreak havoc on my long locks, leaving them desperately craving some nourishment. Lately, the Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm has been my haircare hero and using it religiously has stopped my barnet from turning into a tumbleweed. No exaggeration.
After giving you a run-down of my makeup and skincare favourites of the past year, we're onto haircare! In 2014, I scrapped my silicone and sulphate-free haircare routine, stopped reading every ingredient list of every product I bought and went back to using products full of them. Personally, I haven't noticed a change in the quality of my barnet and my hair is as happy as ever.

After around a year of attempting to avoid silicones and sulphates in hair products, to see how much of a difference (if any) it made, the time has come to revert back to my old ways. My hair is pretty much the same and I’ve missed the mirror-like shine and silky touch that a bunch of supposedly suffocating ingredients give me. Don’t get me wrong, all of the products I mentioned during my trial, I still adore. Though, being honest, when there wasn’t much of a ground-breaking change to my hair in the long-run, the additional cost of the silicone-free products didn’t seem worth it. I still have a tonne of precious Phyto products in my drawers and they'll continue make an appearance in my haircare routine. I’m just not going to scan through the ingredients list of every hair product I pick up like a vulture, purposefully avoiding those silicones, from now on.
So, I've kicked my bloggers block, got my act together and I'm back. Despite being quiet online for too many months for my liking, my thirst for anything related to beauty, remained unquenched. As a result, I have an absolute tonne of products stocked up that I need to both rave, and unfortunately, rant about. First up, there's the products I'm currently obsessed with. Spring is finally here and this is one of my favourite seasons for beauty!
