Since my last evening skincare routine post, a lot has changed. Oh, how I thought my routine back then was the creme de la creme. Little did I know that the majority of my ritual way back when, was probably the cause of any skincare stresses I experienced. Oblivious to the fact that my already dry skin was being stripped further and then overloaded by a generous dollop of mineral oil filled moisturiser, I happily kept up that routine for months. Fortunately, I eventually realised my mistake and proceeded to drastically give my routine an overhaul, with the exception of one or two items. Don't get me wrong, I loved the products I used at the time, but I just got my skin type wrong. One product though, the Re Gen Cream, won't be coming anywhere near my face, ever again.

Once a week, if I'm lucky, there's nothing I like more than to chill out and pamper myself for an entire evening. In Winter, it takes a bit more effort to keep everything on tip top form, thanks to the frosty weather draining skin, hair and nails of moisture and that natural glow. After the hectic holidays, copious amounts of food and drink and possibly a bit too much partying, we all need some down time. A nice hot bath is perfect to relax and is something to look forward to on grim, miserable days, after getting up when it still seems like the middle of the night.
A little while ago, in a previous post, I talked you through my current morning skincare routine, so it made sense to follow up with an evening version. I really like to take my time in the evenings, to give my skin a bit of a treat, and if I ever have a naughty night off from this regime, my skin definitely gives me a generous dose of revenge over the subsequent days.
