A/W is always the best time for beauty, in my opinion, as the trends are right up my street and there's always an abundance of limited-edition collections to swoon over. Lately, there's been so many amazing, new releases that I've barely been able to keep up, so I've put together a little list of what I'm currently lusting after.

One absolute must-have for this time of year, is lip balm. OK, so the Eos Lip Balms may not be brand new to the market, but they're a classic. These iconic spheres are so fun, yet really help to condition and nourish the lips at the same time, with shea butter, vitamin E and jojoba oil. I love that you don't have to stick your finger into any greasy, sticky pots with these, which makes them perfect for popping into your bag and taking on-the-go. My favourite has to be the Eos Sweet Mint Lip Balm, 0.25 oz, so I need to stock up ready for the bitterly cold weather that's on its way!

Oribe is a brand I'm always desperate to try more from and the Oribe Matte Waves Texture Lotion is my latest obsession. Although beachy waves are associated more with summer, I just love that effortless, relaxed vibe they create and I want it all year round. What puts me off most sea-salt sprays is that they leave my hair craving moisture, but Oribe's version is meant to give your hair extra texture and grip, without that drying effect. If this lotion is as impressive as the rest of the range I've sampled, then I won't be disappointed!

Another brand that always seems to hit the nail on the head, is Sunday Riley. Her skincare products have reached cult status and every new release appears to top the last. Recently, I've been searching for some new moisturisers and, to slot into my morning routine, I've had my eye on the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. Promising to deliver a surge of hydration in a lightweight formula, it sounds ideal for my dry, dehydrated face. Plus, it works to visibly brighten the complexion and even out the skin-tone with continued use, which can only be a good thing!

For evening use, when I want something a little heavier and more intense to work its magic overnight, I've been looking at the bareMinerals Butter Drench Restorative Rich Cream. Firstly, the words Butter Drench sound simply heavenly for when my dry skin has been ravaged by the cold winds of A/W. Enriched with shea butter, this luxurious cream saturates the skin in moisture to help it repair. Of course, bareMinerals have stuck with what they're famous for and have used a blend of minerals in this cream, along with peptides, ceramides and amino acids to slough away dead skin cells and leave skin soft and smooth. I always worry that more intense formulas will break me out, but this cream is non-comodegenic, so it shouldn't block pores.

In order for my makeup to last all day in the cold weather, I like to gently powder across the center of my face. But, as skin is inevitably drier at this time of year, some powders can leave my skin looking chalky or caked in makeup. Hopefully, the Jouer Glisten Brightening Powder will give the face a beautiful, glowing finish instead. Like a photographic filter for the face, this loose powder is meant to provide a beauty-boosting veil of soft-focus radiance that lifts dull, tired skin. You can either sweep it all-over to set your makeup, or layer it over the high points of the face with a denser brush for a subtle, sheeny highlight.

Now that Kat Von D makeup is more easily available in the UK, thanks to the concession in Debenhams, everyone is going crazy for her products. I haven't tried anything from the range yet, but I'm probably most eager to get my hands on the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer. Despite it not being the most exciting product to choose, I've heard amazing things about this multi-tasking marvel, which claims to mask blemishes, camouflage under-eye circles, correct discoloration, highlight and contour, in one. All with a creamy formula and up to 24hr wear, too. Those are some seriously brave claims that I need to test for myself!

I've just treated myself to the Hourglass Surreal Light Palette and I've already got my next Hourglass purchase planned. I am such a fan of cream foundations, as they're so quick to apply and give great coverage that can easily be sheered out or built-up to suit your needs. So, when I heard about the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick, I couldn't get to Space NK quick enough. After swatching in-store, feeling just how smooth it is and seeing how flawless it looks, I reluctantly left without it due to the high price-tag. Realistically, I know I'll get through a stick in a matter of weeks, as I'll be tempted to use it every day and that will end up being an extortionate habit to adopt. Maybe I'll pop a couple of sticks on my Christmas list and see if Santa is generous, this year!

Probably the launch I'm most happy about at the moment, are the Nars Velvet Lip Glides. Nars is one of my all-time favourite brands and their lip products are always on point, so I can't wait to sample their take on a liquid lip product. Providing a semi-matte, rich pigmentation that glides on smoothly, feels like velvet and wears comfortably, they're a clever hybrid of a gloss and lipstick. As they're more glossy in finish and won't last all day without touch-ups, they sound like a nice diversion from the matte lip cream trend that's still so popular.

During S/S, I love fresh and fruity fragrances, but during A/W, I like my scents to be a lot richer. Tom Ford's Private Blend Eau De Parfums are the epitome of decadence and the range includes some beautiful, warmer scents. It's no wonder that I can't help but linger around my local Tom Ford counter for so long whenever I pass it, admiring my favorite - Tobacco Vanille. Spicy and deep, but with slightly sweet, creamy notes, this fragrance is just so addictive and luxe. At an eye-wateringly expensive £148 for 50ml, the Tom Ford Private Blend Tobacco Vanille EDP won't be gracing my dressing table any time soon, but a girl can dream!
