Unfortunately, there are some products that just don't live up to their claims, or just don't float your boat. Obviously it's not as nice to talk about products that you've found disappointing, but it's only fair, after raving about so many others. It's always important to remember that what doesn't work for me, may be the best thing since sliced bread, in your eyes. Everyone has their own, individual taste, skin-type, hair-type etc and that makes such a difference to your opinion on a product. These are just a selection of products that haven't got my seal of approval, recently.
You may notice a pattern with my skincare choices; Sarah Chapman products feature a lot in my routine. Her Skinesis range is one that I have learnt to trust and rely on to keep my skin happy. So, as soon as another, new launch hits the shelves, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be on it in a flash, with the hope that it will bowl me over just as much as her other creations have. So, what did I make of her most recent release, the Sarah Chapman Rapid Radiance Cleanse?
May was all about brightening and lightening, for me. I've been really concentrating on getting my skin looking as good as possible, ready for Summer, by tweaking both my skincare and makeup routines. Of late, my makeup looks have mostly consisted of a flawless, but natural-looking base, bright eyes and a defined lip, which these products have helped me to achieve.

For a couple of years now, my cleansing loyalties have always lied with the one and only Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. When I last went on the hunt for my usual favourite, I was left in a panic. Not one place I tried online had it in stock. Cue my sweaty palms. I was going to New York for a few weeks and the thought of being without it made my tummy turn. When something really works for your skin, you become cautious about changing things up. Now, I wasn't sure whether the Emma Hardie balm was being slowly discontinued or was going through a disappearing act, but I was anxious. In sheer desperation, I searched for a replacement and, going on the cult-classic status, opted for the quintessential beauty editor favourite, Eve Lom Cleanser. I warn you now, this review is going to be a meaty, but surprising one!
We all chop and change the skincare products that we use, especially when new releases are constantly hitting us and there's a sudden surge of interest in specific products that are the next must-have. But, my skin doesn't like that, at all. Whenever I cut my routine down to the products that work for me time and time again, my skin is very grateful and it shows. Also, skincare products take a good few months to really get to work on your skin anyway, so if you don't use it for long enough, chances are you won't see the true benefits from it. At the moment, my morning skincare routine looks like this. It may seem like a lot of steps for a busy morning rush, but the longer I take to give my face a good going over, the better my skin and makeup looks and the better I feel. This morning routine has been working well for me for a few months now and so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

As the seasons change, so do our chosen beauty products. As autumn creeps up, those coral hues are shunned and rich, warmer shades reappear. Over the past couple of weeks, I've definitely noticed a change across the skincare, body products and makeup that I've been reaching for, so I thought I'd give you a brief beauty breakdown of what I've switched to using.
